I sit here in my static life acknowledging the fact the the world changes around me, but then I come across your blog and realize that the world doesn't necessarily change around me, life does. Fascinating article in your previous post. And... amazing photos in this one - all that beige with so much texture, the young boys and bearded men, and then - a beautiful purple flower (orchid?) in the midst of all that - a reminder that this culture has been around for a couple thousand years, and sadly may outlive the desert itself.
